Overview
Mission and Structure
Our mission is to promote economic growth and employment in Iraq by increasing private sector access to finance, in particular for micro, small and medium enterprises. We fulfill this objective by stimulating microfinance institutions and private banks to increase loan volume and diversify their services and clients; by creating and supporting indigenous providers of business development services; and by working with the Government of Iraq to develop an improved enabling environment for increased trade and investment in the private sector. To accomplish these objectives, the Tijara Provincial Economic Growth program is organized under the following technical teams:
The components are supported by several cross-cutting functions: Training, Communication and Outreach, ICT Services, Research, and Grants. Periodically, the project releases an updated presentation or other overview materials on Tijara's progress.
